    Sternocleidomastoid. This neck muscle runs from the sternum and clavicle to the mastoid process. It flexes and rotates the head, contributing to head positioning and neck stability.
    Trapezius. A large upper-back muscle extending from the skull to the mid-spine and out to the shoulders. It elevates, retracts, and stabilizes the scapula during pulling and overhead movements.
    Deltoid. This rounded shoulder muscle has three heads that lift the arm in multiple directions. It is heavily engaged in pressing, raising, and stabilizing upper-body movements.
