One way to begin drinking more water is to drink it first thing in the morning. Because you’ve been asleep for many hours, and have lost water through your breathing, morning is when you are the most dehydrated. Additionally, your liver does most of its work at night while you are sleeping, and many toxins are released during this time. That’s where the warm lemon water comes in. If you’re not convinced that you should give up your coffee for a mug of warm lemon water, here’s a look at the benefits you can enjoy when you make warm lemon water part of your daily routine.

    Purifies the Bodybuilder’s Liver

Yes, lemon water is also very useful for people who are engaged in bodybuilding. This morning ritual should be a staple for bodybuilders who intake supplements that are hard on the liver. It can also help ease joint pain and inflammation by cleansing the system from impurities and releasing the acidity and uric acid from the joints. Healthy joins are a major prerequisite for successful strength training.

    Aids in Weight Loss

If you want to shed a few pounds, warm lemon water can help. Drinking warm lemon water helps to increase your metabolic rate. It also helps to break down body fat. The pectin fiber in the lemons help to decrease food cravings, making it easier for you to avoid cravings throughout your day.

    Flushes Away Toxins

Lemon juice is a mild diuretic, and the combination of lemon juice and warm water helps the body flush away toxins and waste. The citric acid found in lemons helps to maximize enzyme function in the body, stimulating the liver and aiding in detoxification. Increasing your water intake by drinking warm lemon water also helps to body flush away toxins more efficiently.

An Excellent Source of Vitamin C and Potassium

Potassium makes the heart healthy and the brain active. It is a strong ally in regulating blood pressure and reducing the risk of catching a cold. In addition to valuable minerals, lemon also contains vitamin C, one of the most important substances for strengthening immunity. Deficiency of vitamin C causes fatigue, anemia, nervousness, anxiety and depression.

    Improves Digestion

This simple drink will cleanse your body of accumulated toxins. It will also cleanse your digestive system to make it work better. Since it is the first thing to take in the morning, it stimulates the digestive system and hydrates the colon. That way you’ll have less problems with constipation, gas, heartburn, and bloating. In addition, it stimulates liver function.

Lemon helps the liver to produce more bile, so it is easier for the body to break down complex foods and extract useful ingredients from them. You can even go one step further and put some honey in water lemon. Honey has antibacterial properties that protect against any infections. It also helps in the production of mucus in the stomach and expels toxins from the body.

Gives Your Immune System a Boost

Lemon is well known to contain high doses of vitamin C which is exceptionally important for the proper functioning of the immune system and protection of the body from different diseases. Lemon is also rich in potassium, which has a stimulating effect on the brain and nervous system, and is also good for controlling blood pressure. Furthermore, saponins in lemon have antimicrobial properties that may help prevent colds and the flu.

If you want to be resistant to diseases, be sure to add a little honey to warm water with lemon.

    Reduces Inflammation

One of the main causes of inflammation in the body is uric acid. Uric acid often builds up in joints, resulting in inflammation and pain. Lemon water helps to remove uric acid, reducing inflammation through the body. By reducing inflammation, you may notice that you deal with less pain as well.

    Improves Skin

Drinking water has the power to clear skin and the addition of the vitamin C from the lemons helps to improve skin too. Vitamin C helps to reduce problems with blemishes while combating free radicals that can cause skin damage and aging. Start drinking warm lemon water each morning and you’ll notice a big change in your skin over time.

    Provides Hydration to the Body

Water makes up over 70 percent of the human body and good hydration of the body is necessary for digestion, flushing toxins and expelling waste from the body and maintaining skin health. After a sleepless night, the body is dehydrated and needs to make up for fluid lost through sweating and breathing. A glass of warm water with lemon will help you start the day refreshed and hydrated.

    Balances Your Body’s pH

Although many people think the opposite, because it tastes sour, lemon is actually alkaline and contributes to reducing the acidity of your body, which is extremely important for health. For optimal health, your body should be more alkaline, and drinking warm lemon water daily helps to balance your body’s pH so it’s more alkaline. This makes it easier for your body to resist sickness and disease.

    Improves mood

Vitamin C is acting as an “energy bomb” – filling your body with a burst of energy very soon after waking up. Some say it’s much better to drink water and lemon to wake up in the morning than coffee.

A good mood will result in a reduced chance of anxiety or depression, and it is easier to survive everyday stressful situations.

How to make your your warm lemon water?

Every morning before you drink or eat anything else, drink a glass of warm water with half a squeezed lemon juice and after a month you will notice a positive effect on the whole body. You need to start with purified water and fresh, organic lemons. Absolutely never use bottled lemon juice to make your lemon water. You can also add a bit of honey to the water if you desire for a hint of sweetness and additional health benefits.

The water needs to be warm because it is better for your body. Namely, according to ancient Chinese medicine, cold drinks have a stressful effect on our body because the body must warm them before they go further through the digestive system. However, you don’t want to add the lemon juice to water that is boiling hot too. This is because the vitamin C in the juice is easily destroyed by high temperatures.

If lemons are grown organically (without the use of pesticides and fungicides) be sure to use the peel after squeezing them. The peel contains valuable ingredients such as vitamins C, A, beta carotene, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Grate and freeze the crust, sprinkle it over salads, soups, fish, meat or add it to hot tea if necessary. Be sure not to let this valuable ingredient remains unused.

    Closing Thoughts

The possible benefits of drinking warm water with lemon are numerous. Drinking warm lemon water encourages our body to detox naturally. It helps the kidneys and the liver wash out toxins, and gives your body the essential nutrients it needs for radiant skin. Every reasonable bodybuilder should appreciate these simple and free gifts. If you don’t have any lemons, you can use limes, but you’ll need to use a larger quantity of lime juice, as lemons have twice the vitamin C and alkalizing power of limes.
